Brewer’s Yeast has been used in beverage production for at least nine thousand years in many parts of the world, but a version of this product, aka Nutritional Yeast, first turned up in the dietary supplement realm during the early twentieth century in the U.S.

Nutritional Yeast became very popular, owing to its richness in proteins and vitamins; and also its beneficial probiotic properties, which can be found in yogurt and other naturally fermented foods.      

This month we’re featuring Nature’s Answer Gluten and Soy Free Brewer’s Yeast, produced by Advanced Botanical Fingerprint Technology.

Mix in milk, juice or yogurt. May also be sprinkled on cereal, salad or incorporated into soups, stews, sauces, gravies or baked goods.
